For the purpose of providing a comfortable rest area to both domestic and foreign tourists, the autonomouse districts opened Su-mileu Park near the Passengers Terminal building on August 10, 1988. The name "Su-mileu" connotes twofold meanings; Su stands for water in Chinese character, and mileu means dragon in the indigenous vernacular.
Su-mileu Park is known to be friendly to seafarers and travelers, and is always thriving with locals who come with their families. Youngsters frequent the park to play basketball games at the basketball courts installed in the park precinct.

On holidays it is customary to witness various events held onstage at the front of the park. It is indeed a stunning sight to witness the park's night scene, with the black sea illuminated by various sizes of light wavering from the ships.
It is recommended to come to the park by subway, which stops at the Jungang-dong station. Exit through the Coastal Passengers Terminal, and from there the park is a 5-minute walk away.
