the entrance of past black bridge reminiscence moniment(8-3 Bosu 1ga, Junggu)
It was called as Bupyeongri Sahamyeon region Dongrae gun in the Chosun dynasty, incorporated by Busanbu in 1896. Bosujeong was made after dividing Bupyeong-dong in 1914, and renamed as Bosu-dong again in 1947.

A stream flowing under the Boggaechun was called as Bosuchun whose water was so limpid, and the name of Bosu-dong was derived from Bosuchun which has been called after Busan port opened for a international trade(before opening, it's termed as Bupsuchun). The name of Bupsu was made by monks of Gudeok Temple which used to be at Mt. Gudeok and buddhists having lived in.

Black Bridge Reminiscence Monument

Bosu-dong as an administrative dong consists of Bosu-dong 1~3ga by law. A black bridge village as a natural town used to be the village near the Heukgyo Rotary of Boso-dong 1ga.

A black bridge was the bridge linking Junggu with Seogu in Bosuchun, Its name was derived from having been burnt the surface of log bridge to prevent corrosion and patriots' prison life with black clothes at those times. Many patriots who devoted themselves for Korea's independence from the late Joseon dynasty to Japanese colonization period used to walk on this bridge to go Daeshin prison with deep sorrow, and their families, too.
It was newly constructed into a concrete bridge in 1940, even though it disappeared because of reclaiming the Bosuchun in 1987, some name derived from Black Bridge are still remaining these days. Although this bridge was gone since 1987, this monument was built for reminiscence of our past Dark ages on July 1, 1996.
